WWW Wednesday: I managed to read 2 Books and four short stories

Hello everyone,

How is it already another Wednesday? I feel like this week slipped by faster than usual but I somehow managed to get some reading done. I read four amazing Tor short stories and two books. I’m currently reading two other books too. Let’s see what all I’ve read! (Side note: I can’t get pictures of the short stories that I read. Apologies.)

What am I currently reading?

I just started two books and I hope to finish at least one by tomorrow! The last books I started in the previous WWW are ongoing as well but these are what I’m actually reading for now. Here’s what I’m reading:

What did I finish reading?

Honestly not a lot, lol. One was a two star read and White Smoke was four stars.

What will I read next?

I have quite a hefty list of books I want to read this week and I’m hoping to be able to get through them this time. I’m tired of making plans and not following through. Here’s my stack of next week’s tbr:

I’m seriously setting time up for getting through all these books. I have several plans and upcoming reviews that I’d like to do as well. I’m also hoping to start next year with a series of reviewing Tor short fiction. Until then though, I’m going to hopefully get a move on and actually read some of these books! How’s your reading progressing? Read anything good? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

WWW Wednesday: I only read 3 books last week? 😬

Hello Everyone,

It’s time for another WWW Wednesday! I’m shocked by how little I read last week but then it’s almost Thanksgiving so maybe not so surprising. Stress and family make a huge difference in how much reading I get done apparently. Who knew? 🤔

What am I currently reading:

I’m really trying to get back into the reading groove! Hopefully these lovelies will help!

What did I receive finish reading?

Apparently not much read this week! Two five star books and the inside ring I dnf’d sadly. Political thrillers aren’t much my thing, though some are awesome this just didn’t work for me.

What will I read next?:

I’m hoping for a lot of arcs/series catch up!

I sincerely hope to read more this week but thanks to it being Thanksgiving I doubt I’ll manage much at all. I will have a lot more to do with it being the holidays.

A special note from Pass Me That Book…I hope everyone reading this has a happy Thanksgiving, or any other holiday that you celebrate during this time. I hope all of you get a good meal and a safe place to sleep. Please stay safe out there, y’all. Happy reading and I won’t be back on until December.

Happy holidays!

WWW Wednesday:

Hello Everyone,

Here’s another WWW Wednesday, though I skipped the last two weeks, oops. I’m hoping to try to keep on track but honestly I kept not realizing that Wednesday had come and gone by the time I was going to post these up on my blog. 😬 Where has all the time gone these days? 🤔

What am I currently reading?

A mix of things! I’m in a weird reading mood. I’m also trying to still read lots of Netgalley arcs so, yeah…

What did I recently finish reading?

I actually had to go to Goodreads to figure out what all I read… apparently it was a lot more than I thought!

A lot of these were arcs for Netgalley but a few were sadly dnf’s. I think my favorite out of the batch is probably The Goblin Emperor. I loved it. Least favorite? Easily Ink and Sigil. That was such a disappointment especially since I adored the authors Iron Druid series.

What am I reading next?

I have no clue, but definitely arcs from Netgalley. Here’s a few on my wishlist…

A lot of these are Netgalley arcs, all of them actually except for Seasons of the Storm. I’m hoping to really increase my Netgalley percentage and I also want a lot of books knocked out my ever growing tbr. Hopefully I can manage a few of these but if not then there’s still lots of time left. I think I’m most looking forward to The Dragon Republic but I’m hoping it won’t break me though I know it will.

Until next time,

WWW Wednesday: Is It That Time Again Already?

Hello Everyone,

Another week has passed by rapidly and so it’s time for another WWW. I won’t have much to update but here we are attempting to keep track and posting more anyway.

What Have I Read?

I have read five books since the last batch, three of them were dnf’s and one was a dnf and a 1 ⭐ read being the Philippa Gregory book. It was just definitely not for me. But at least I had two glorious 5 star reads! Cry Wolf may also, but I’m hoping not, be the last of a delightful series so that would maybe be another series finished. Yay!

What Am I Currently Reading?

I have a bunch of novellas that I’m hoping to get through. Two aren’t novellas, and I started one, The Bachelor by Sabrina Jeffries as I enjoyed the first book so much I wanted to continue the series. I’ve read Elizabeth Bear before, but the other authors are all new to me apart from Aliette de Bodard who I also love.

What Will I Read Next?

These are ones that I *might* get to in the next week. Several, I have to wait for my library to get a hold of first as I don’t own them. I’m in a reading mood for a lot of different things that I just don’t have, lol. Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to this past week. Let me know how your reading is going!

Until next time,

1) What have I finished reading?

I read a lot! I have a few ongoing books still in progress as noted above. I think that the reading slump is over!

3) What am I reading next?

Apart from this I am unsure of what I am going to read. There’s a lot of things on my radar from fantasy to historical to romance. I guess I will choose later! Anything you want to recommend feel free to do so!

My 1st Meme of 2020: What Are You Reading?

Welcome friends,

What Are You Reading Wednesday @ Taking on a World of Words. It’s a weekly meme that asks you to answer the 3 Ws every week (What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

I’m just starting two books that I haven’t read but I am familiar with both authors and like their previous work.

I hope to finish both within a few days and then I have arcs to read as well!

Recently Read:

I just finished this yesterday and very much enjoyed it. I will be continuing on with the series!

Possibly Reading Next:

At the start of the year, the choices are endless. I also have a few reading challenges to knock out as well. I’d like to read the rest of the Martha Wells Murderbot series, Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire, and hopefully get through all my Netgalley arcs as well but considering how many I have that’s doubtful.

What are you reading this week? Have you read anything of what I mentioned? Let me know in the comments. If you’re new here, please like and subscribe!

Until next time,

Pass Me That Book.

WWW Wednesday| New ARCs!

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm where I’m hoping to start doing this kind of thing more often. This is one where you answer the three questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

~*~

Currently Reading, well I’m fixing to start reading the entire Invisible Library series in anticipation of the newest arrival.

Invisible Library Series{picture from pinterest}

I’ve read the first one, but haven’t read ANY of the rest of the series, so I should spend at least three days flying through the series to read the latest book.

Recently Finished, is Heart’s Abroad, which was a solid 4/5 stars. It hasn’t put me in a slump, I’m just away from all my books at the moment! (denial)

Reading Next, uh. Well clearly the Invisible Libraries is up next, but after that I think I’m going to be reading between these three choices:

That’s what I have planned, anyway. I have so many books on my TBR right now, that I’m beginning to get into panic mode, wondering how I’ll possibly finish these before the end of the year. I’ve been in a bit of a slump since the beginning of the week, and haven’t read hardly anything this whole month so far, which is disappointing, but I’ve been reading so much lately too that the break is a bit nice and relaxing.

But those are my plans, and I hope all of you are doing well for the month of November (remember, remember, the fifth of November-stop it brain. We cannot read Fawkes for the third time!). Let me know if you’ve read any of these, and what your book plans are in the comments, will you, because I’m curious to see how everyone else is handling their tbr piles!
