July 2022 Wrap Up: I Failed Reading 50 Books In a Month (Again)

Hello Everyone,

This month started weak and by the end I barely managed 20 books for the month. I am blaming getting horribly sick the first couple weeks and being super busy. I’m struggling with my Goodreads goal of 350 books. I’m just now at 150! I need to get my butt in gear. Anyways. Here are the books that I’ve read for July. Some were good, most were meh.

I don’t have all the pictures because that’s a lot but here’s a fair bit of them! Blade of Secrets and Alone Out Here were both very good! The rest were mostly 3 stars.

I’m really hoping next month I will hit my reading stride, although next month I may be going to New York. Not sure if that’s still in the works since three of my family that were going to go is now ill, and one has Covid. So fun times.

I hope everyone had a good reading month! If you have any of these that you’ve read, please do share your thoughts in the comments.

Until next time,

June Wrap Up: I Read 20 Books

Hello Everyone,

This is the lowest amount I’ve read all year I think, but to be fair I got rather busy. Only 20 books but that’s still not bad and I hope next month will double the number as I am at 130/350 for my Goodreads goal, yikes. Here’s what I’ve read for June!

I started out strong with my reading then kinda hit a slump and I barely read anything this month. 20 is a low number for me and these are some of the covers that I cobbled together for y’all.

The standout books for last month are Kaikeyi, Daughter of the Moon Goddess, Love and Saffron and Alone Out Here. I also enjoyed the first half of the German Bride, and Outrun the Moon. The rest were all mostly “meh”.

I’m trying to get back into the swing of blogging but it’s proving difficult in having the motivation as well as enough signal to actually post as I don’t have internet where I am due to expenses.

I also read a hefty classic this past month:

This book was a thousand pages long and took me almost two weeks to read. It was thick, a struggle to understand with the olde English and easily one of the hardest books I’ve ever read. I gave it 4 stars, as it dragged a bit in the middle but I loved the poetry.

But otherwise that’s basically all I read. I’m hoping my reading will pick up again in the next month.

Until next time,

March 2022 Wrap Up: I Failed to Read 50 Books (But I Read 25!)

Hello Everyone,

March sucked. My mother got a broken arm, and I am basically the only person who isn’t seriously injured and able to do things and that seriously cut down on my reading time towards the last end of the month. Amazing what happens when I’m the only one at home not with a serious injury and I gotta suddenly take care of a lot of responsibilities. I don’t mind doing so, of course. It’s family, but wow did March suck. Glad April is here (and no, none of that was an April Fool’s joke. I’m trying to ignore April Fool’s there’s enough drama going on here lol.)

While I failed my goal of 50 books I decided to push that to April instead, as the last half of March really left me with little reading time. However I still have managed a good chunk of what I wanted to read-my library holds being in transit still. Here’s what I read in March!

I couldn’t find pictures for all the books that I’ve read. I think almost every author was a woman author, at least ten books were translated, and a couple are lgbt. Not bad at all. I’m hoping to get more organized and more reading done next month but I’m not sure that’s going to happen.

How was your reading month? Good, bad? Let me know in the comments!

2022 January Wrap Up: I read 19 Books

Hello Everyone,

Last month started our strong but then the annoying af reading slump makes it’s triumphant return! Sigh. I’m tired of wanting to read but staring at books and having no inclination to read. Ugh. This is becoming seriously annoying beyond belief. Any suggestions? I’d appreciate them in the comments below!

Anyway. I read some good stuff. A mix of it mostly 3 ⭐ and up. One reread. Here is what I managed to get to this month:

As usual I don’t have photos for all the books, but these are the highlights! Best book was The Annual Migration of Clouds. 5 ⭐ for that beautiful book! Worst book? Hmm. Well none of these were flat out awful but the least liked is probably Empire of Chains that I read on a whim from my kindle. 2 ⭐ for that one.

I’m hoping that next month I can seriously get caught up on my reading. I’m behind, again, already, which seems to be the theme for this blog. Hopefully your reading month went better!

Until next time,
