What Can Go Wrong#3: I’m still at a Reading Slump

Welcome all,

This is another episode of “What can go wrong, even as I’m still struggling with that reading slump-lets not talk about reviewing shall we?

Let’s start by “What can go wrong” by counting wrong shall we? Because what is math? 🙄

I’m actually not upset at this pick. The first book The Ruby in the Smoke was good but not my favorite Philip Pullman. I can also add this to making my way in finishing a series and young adult fiction tends to read fast. I’m hopeful that this is good, and pleased I didn’t pick another chunkier like the Pickwick Papers that I ended up dnf’ing at 350 pages. 😔

Wait a minute…

I’ve already read this!

Oops!!!!

Okay. So apparently I don’t have any of the rest of the series so let’s do this again! Isn’t this fun?

Well, apparently I’m reading another classic.

This is a classic called The Treasure of the City of Ladies by Christine de Pizza. It’s thankfully much shorter than the Pickwick Papers, at 200 pages. I’ve been sure that I won’t like this at all but am still curious enough to try it. Here’s to fingers crossed!

Until next time,
