TBR Thursday: 6 Books I aim to Read and FINALLY get them off my waiting list!

This month is not just Arcs that I need to prioritize. I should be posting reviews, but I’m doing this instead. These are six books that I’ve had sitting on my shelves for over 2 years. So they need to be read, or go away!

1) The Magicians Guild by Trudi Canavan I’ve heard such mixed reviews on this book. You either love it or hate it. I’m hoping that I’ll love it. I only have book one so if I do love it, the series may have to wait.

2) The Covenant Rising by Stan Nichols This seems to have mostly negative reviews on Goodreads but I won’t judge until I’ve read it myself. That cover is also quite lovely don’t you think?

3) The Chamber of Culdi by Katherine Kurtz My mother swears by this series. I’m really nervous to read this.

4) The Shadow of a Dark Queen by Raymond E. Feist Everyone raves about this author. I have never read their books but am finally plucking the courage to do so.

5) Daggerspell by Katherine Kerr I also have been told by my mother that this series is excellent, except for book two. So again-nervous!

And finally…

6) Royal Exile By Fiona McIntosh Almost all negative reviews on Goodreads. I hope that won’t be me as well!

And those are the six books that aren’t arcs I hope to read this month. Have y’all read any of these? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

Pass Me That Book.

TBR Thursday: My, What a Pile of Books!

How can another week of November be almost gone already? I didn’t read anything this week, due to it being NaNo (I breached 50k and reached close to 65k despite it being the beginning of the month because I can’t sleep and that gives me way more time to write, so finished NaNo early, yay!) but this next week, boy do I have a lot of catching up to do!

I have reviews that are due:

Just Approved Edelweiss Arcs:

ARCs Coming Via Mail:

New Releases to Catch Up On:

And several other arcs from Netgalley, library books, and random other books that I’ve purchased as well! I’ve quite a bit of catching up to do, not the least bit which includes the entire Invisible Library series! I’m overwhelmed but pleased with the arcs that I’ve gotten, and really hope to finish all of these before the reviews are due!

What are you all reading at the moment? Anything good? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

My Top #5 TBR Thursday!

Ash Princess1

It’s TBR (To Be Read) Thursday, and today’s book choice is Ash Princess, which I received from my public library! It’s a book that I’ve been wishing to have for a while now, it’s popped up on quite a few different blogs that I follow, and I’m eagerly awaiting tonight where I can finally sit down, crack open the spine, and read the book that I can now cross off of my wish list.

#1: Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian is a young adult fantasy that sounds pretty awesome. It’s got war, magic, queens, murder, rebellion…all the good stuff that you know you’re going to enjoy.

TheUnbindingofMaryReade1

#2: The Unbinding of Mary Reade by Miriam McNamara is another one that’s on my radar to read this weekend. It’s got pirates and girls in disguise. Need I say more?

The Tory

#3: The Tory by TJ London-I have kinda sort started this already, so far I’m enjoying it. It’s a good historical read, and I love that cover! This is yet another new arc that I have, that I need to review, so it’s definitely on my TBR list!

HeartofMistCover

#4: Heart of Mist Book 1 by Helen Scheuerer-this has been on my TBR for ages, but I’ve been putting it off till the trilogy is close to complete. Now that I know it is, I’m fixing to start reading this ASAP, because just look at the cover! Not to mention, its FANTASY, and we all know that’s my weakness!

The Source of Magic

#5 The Source of Magic by Cate Rowan-I requested this one at my library (along with several others, of course), and am awaiting its delivery, hoping I can review it before too long. Another cover that is quite beautiful, don’t you think?

And there you have it! My Top #5 TBR books for the coming week. Next week, even more fantasy, young adult fiction, and arcs!

Until Next Time,
