Top Ten Tuesday: Fantasy I Haven’t Read

There’s a lot of new fantasy books that I still haven’t read yet. I’m really hoping to get to these soon, but let’s face it, with the amount of arcs that I have, I doubt that’s going to happen any time soon.

I have pretty much all of these in ebook format, which is the sad thing. I hope to get to them soon! In the meantime, I am hoping to enjoy thanksgiving with family and chill from all the amount of books that I have to read so far.

Happy thanksgiving to all!

Until next time,

TBR Thursday: My, What a Pile of Books!

How can another week of November be almost gone already? I didn’t read anything this week, due to it being NaNo (I breached 50k and reached close to 65k despite it being the beginning of the month because I can’t sleep and that gives me way more time to write, so finished NaNo early, yay!) but this next week, boy do I have a lot of catching up to do!

I have reviews that are due:

Just Approved Edelweiss Arcs:

ARCs Coming Via Mail:

New Releases to Catch Up On:

And several other arcs from Netgalley, library books, and random other books that I’ve purchased as well! I’ve quite a bit of catching up to do, not the least bit which includes the entire Invisible Library series! I’m overwhelmed but pleased with the arcs that I’ve gotten, and really hope to finish all of these before the reviews are due!

What are you all reading at the moment? Anything good? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

WWW Wednesday| New ARCs!

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm where I’m hoping to start doing this kind of thing more often. This is one where you answer the three questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

~*~

Currently Reading, well I’m fixing to start reading the entire Invisible Library series in anticipation of the newest arrival.

Invisible Library Series{picture from pinterest}

I’ve read the first one, but haven’t read ANY of the rest of the series, so I should spend at least three days flying through the series to read the latest book.

Recently Finished, is Heart’s Abroad, which was a solid 4/5 stars. It hasn’t put me in a slump, I’m just away from all my books at the moment! (denial)

Reading Next, uh. Well clearly the Invisible Libraries is up next, but after that I think I’m going to be reading between these three choices:

That’s what I have planned, anyway. I have so many books on my TBR right now, that I’m beginning to get into panic mode, wondering how I’ll possibly finish these before the end of the year. I’ve been in a bit of a slump since the beginning of the week, and haven’t read hardly anything this whole month so far, which is disappointing, but I’ve been reading so much lately too that the break is a bit nice and relaxing.

But those are my plans, and I hope all of you are doing well for the month of November (remember, remember, the fifth of November-stop it brain. We cannot read Fawkes for the third time!). Let me know if you’ve read any of these, and what your book plans are in the comments, will you, because I’m curious to see how everyone else is handling their tbr piles!

Until next time,

Top #5 Novellas On My TBR

I didn’t ever read Novellas before Murderbot came out, unless you count fanfiction novellas, but those weren’t physical books that I could hold in my hands and read. Novellas weren’t an important thing to me, as much as the next big hefty book that had at least 300+pages. But now, there are lots of Novellas coming out, and I’ve discovered others that have captured my attention aside from Murderbot that I’m eager to read. I found the Binti scifi series, which I absolutely adore, though perhaps not as much as Murderbot, though it is close. Now these are some of the latest Novellas that I’ve come across, and each of them not only have pretty, pretty covers but fascinating storylines!

#1: Keeper of the Dawn

Keeper of the Dawn

{Click the title to go to the Goodreads page for a description of the book, same thing for the next five books.}

This is high on my list, and one of the first novellas that I’ve found as well. The cover is nice to look at, though not my favorite (Murderbot!) and the storyline is definitely right up there with things I love. And with a strong female character, or so it seems, I’m definitely wanting to get my hands on this little story.

#2: Temporary Duty Assignment
Temporary Duty Assignment

I rarely read romance, because most of the time it’s annoying and the characters are all mushy and it’s all smutty romance. It’s not my favorite category, but there are times when I’m in the mood for a good action/romance plot! This looks like one of those, and so I’ve added it to my list! I also really love this cover!

#3: A Glimmer of Silver
A Glimmer of SilverThis one sounds absolutely fascinating, and is water based! I love water based stories, especially science fiction water based stories! And it’s also a coming of age which is another favorite thing to read! I’m eagerly anticipating this one, and again, just look at that cover!

#4: Accelerants

Accelerants

This sounds like it’s more my thing, with lots of fantasy elements and  a girl who controls fire is always awesome. And might I just point out, yet again, how beautiful the cover is? I really love this cover, and it’s close to beating out my top favorites with how pretty that art is!

And last but not least:

#5: Agents of Dreamland
Agents of Dreamland

How can I not list one of my favorite authors on this list? Caitlin R. Kiernan is a huge fantasy author that I love, and didn’t realize that there was a novella of hers coming out until I started making a list of novellas to read. Now I’m eager to read this, and the title and the fact that it’s science fiction, my second favorite category to read, is making it even harder to wait in reading this novella!

And those are my #5 Novellas that I’m eagerly anticipating, now that I’ve done some research, I’m going to request quite a few from the library. Seeing as they are quite short, each of them about 100 pages or so, I’m thinking that these can be read quickly. If you have more suggestions for novellas that I haven’t listed here, feel free to post them in the comments! I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Until next time,

I don’t have a lot of pictures on my :Instagram yet, but I’m slowly building up on that as well.

Top #5 Books in my Goodreads TBR

I have quite a few books in my Goodreads To-Be-Read pile, or Want to Read pile (3,190 to be exact) and the number just seems to keep climbing. I really need to thin the pile down and so I have picked five books to read in the next week, if I can get a hold of them within that timeline, along with the ARCs and Library Books that I have as well.

These are the current top five books, though one (Fascmilie) is out of print, so I’m not sure that I can get a hold of it. I’m really hoping to be able to find these on Amazon, the local library, the ebook library system I have, or some other way.

Titles-Authors:

Shadows Cast by Stars by Catherine Knutsson

Facsimile by Vicki L. Weavil

Lotus and Thorn by Sara Wilson Etenne

City of Savages by Lee Kelly

Daughter of the Sword by Steve Bein

If I can’t get these five books, then I shall move on to other books on my pile and go from there. I am attempting to be a bit more organized, and get rid of the many books in my Goodreads pile. Hopefully this new thing I’m trying will help!

Until next time,

The Afterwards: 5 stars

Blood and Wolf: 4 stars

Ash Princess: 5 stars

The Tory: 3 stars

King of Ashes: 2 stars

MyReadingPileBanner

I’ve got quite a few books on my list, hopefully I can read them all! I also have more books waiting for me back at the library at home (currently traveling and visiting friends), so that’s even more books to add to my already big reading pile. Here are my hopefuls for the next week!:

Of course I have more books on my to-read pile, but these are the ones on my immediate ‘must read’ shelf. I hope to have all these finished by the end of next week, but well, I doubt that will happen if this busy week is anything to go by.

But anyways, what have all of you been reading? Seen any great new releases? Any summer bookish plans going on? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
