August Reads: Monthly Wrap Up!

A lot of books were read this past August. (A LOT of books received for my birthday, with still more to come! I’m going to do a belated birthday post nearer to the event, since it counts as part of my birthday book haul. There’s also the October Book Fair which I cannot wait for!)

There’s a few novellas, and a couple of short stories from Tor, as well as at least two books from Wattpad that I’ve read too, so I’ve read 33 books this month in total, 35 if you count two graphic novels, of which I do not for various reasons.

I haven’t uploaded a good deal of reviews, such as Worldshaper, and a few others, but those will definitely be coming along ASAP.

My September TBR pile is coming up next, so stick around! There’s more books to be shown off, and with September being my birthday month, there will be a few hauls as well!

Until next time,

-Pass Me That Book.

Weekly Wrap Up: Wow this week flew by!

I’ve read a lot of books this week! Several of which were 4 or 5 star ratings! I spent an entire day reading a 400 page book, even, on Friday which turned out to be a 5 star rating!

Books Read:

Halls of Law-V.M. Escalada 5/5 stars!

Badd Motherf*cker-Jasinda Wilder 5/5 stars!

The Midnight Dance-Nikki Katz 4/5 stars

The Dark Heroine-Abigail Gibbs 4/5 stars

Irontown Blues-John Varley 4/5 stars

The Unbinding of Mary Reade-Miriam McNamara 5/5 stars!

Fawkes-Nadine Brandes 5/5 stars!

Under the Midnight Sun-Lore Graham 3/5 stars

Prisoner of Night and Fog-Anne Blankman 5/5 stars!

The Maltese Incident-Russel Morgan 4/5 stars

Total Books Read: 10 books! I thought I’d read more than that, but that’s probably because several of these were over 300+pages, so all in all definitely a good reading week. I’m now 38 books behind schedule on my Goodreads challenge, I’m down to 3000 books on my ‘TBR’ pile from the original 4200, and I’ve also donated several books from my physical stash, at least three shelves full, so there’s that as well.

12 more days until my birthday, counting today! My birthday is September 1st, and I’m going to Penned Con in St. Louis, so I’m probably going to get even more books! There’s also the added factor that I’ve received more arcs, and so…we’ll see just how many I wind up with!

Until next time,

-Pass Me That Book.

Monthly Wrap Up #2: Lots of Books

Another month comes and goes. This month I was a progressive reader, trying to read every book under the sun, including a bunch of arcs. I still have a lot, but I’ve dropped from 55 ARCs to 34 which is a massive improvement, I think. I’ve stopped asking for ARCs aside from sequels that are coming out, of course. Aside from reading, I’ve been working on my writing as well, trying desperately to get published. I’m still debating self-publishing but am attempting to go traditional tho so far seven rejections still hurt.

This isn’t all of the books, as I don’t have all the photos, but I think I’ve roughly read about 50 books this past month. Some I didn’t finish because I didn’t like it, or because it was a sampler instead of the whole book (here’s to looking at you 84k), but otherwise it was an overall enjoyable book month.

Weekly Wrap-Up #1: A New to Me Meme

Welcome to my first ever Weekly Wrap Up for my blog! I’ve been blogging for a while now, but have recently been searching for memes and tags and whatnot that I might be interested in, to help build up my website so that it has more interesting content. I hope it goes well. Here are the books read for this past week:

Devils and Thieves: 5 stars

The Afterwards: 5 stars

Blood and Wolf: 4 stars

Ash Princess: 5 stars

The Tory: 3 stars

Artificial Condition: 4 stars

Down Among the Sticks and Bones: 4 stars

King of Ashes: 2 stars

I’ve got quite a few books on my list, hopefully I can read them all! I also have more books waiting for me back at the library at home (currently traveling and visiting friends), so that’s even more books to add to my already big reading pile. Here are my hopefuls for the next week!:

Of course I have more books on my to-read pile, but these are the ones on my immediate ‘must read’ shelf. I hope to have all these finished by the end of next week, but well, I doubt that will happen if this busy week is anything to go by.

But anyways, what have all of you been reading? Seen any great new releases? Any summer bookish plans going on? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

An Unexpected Book Poll

Hello all, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday! I’m having some bookish struggles at the moment. Aside from the two ARCs that I am reading, I have no idea what to read next on my bookshelves at home that are overflowing with books that I have yet to get to! So, I need a little help, and I’ve created a book poll! Just tell me in the comments which one you want me to read and review most, and the one with the most comments wins!

Yes, most of these are arcs, and I haven’t read a single one of these. I am so behind! I’m about halfway through The Final Six, and should finish it within the next couple of days, and I’m definitely reading the two arcs “Link” and “Blind the Eyes” next, but after that, I have no clue with what to pick. And these aren’t even all the books that are on my TBR! So, please pick one, and tell me which one you most want me to read and review! I look forward to all of your comments!

April Reads| Books Read in April

I haven’t done much reading this month, apparently April was the month of being busy with writing my own book, and editing and editing and editing…well, I’m sure you get the idea. However, I was successful in knocking down some of the books on my enormous TBR pile. I’ve read a few arcs, mainly, to get them out of the way, and this upcoming month I’m hoping to get more read than I had in April. It helps that there’s several books that I’m eagerly excited for.

(It’s just going to be a list this time, as I don’t have time to fix the post all the way. I’ll come back to it in a while, hopefully.)

A Walk Between Stars

Murder Feels Awful/Murder Feels Bad (still working on Book 2)

Sun and Shadow: The Awakening (review to come)

The Hawkman (easily my favorite book of the month)

Don’t Look at Me

Dun Lady’s Jess (re-read)

The Fiery Cross (re-read)

And that’s basically it. Short, but hopefully this month will be better! My next month is pretty much planned to be a bookish month filled with lots of ARCs, books I’ve been meaning to get to, and books I want to read just cause. Future updates to come, and I hope you enjoyed this post!

If you’re interested in what I want to read, go and check out my anticipated reads page! There’s plenty there for you to add to your own TBR pile, if you so desire!

Until next time,
