WWW Wednesday: I managed to read 2 Books and four short stories

Hello everyone,

How is it already another Wednesday? I feel like this week slipped by faster than usual but I somehow managed to get some reading done. I read four amazing Tor short stories and two books. I’m currently reading two other books too. Let’s see what all I’ve read! (Side note: I can’t get pictures of the short stories that I read. Apologies.)

What am I currently reading?

I just started two books and I hope to finish at least one by tomorrow! The last books I started in the previous WWW are ongoing as well but these are what I’m actually reading for now. Here’s what I’m reading:

What did I finish reading?

Honestly not a lot, lol. One was a two star read and White Smoke was four stars.

What will I read next?

I have quite a hefty list of books I want to read this week and I’m hoping to be able to get through them this time. I’m tired of making plans and not following through. Here’s my stack of next week’s tbr:

I’m seriously setting time up for getting through all these books. I have several plans and upcoming reviews that I’d like to do as well. I’m also hoping to start next year with a series of reviewing Tor short fiction. Until then though, I’m going to hopefully get a move on and actually read some of these books! How’s your reading progressing? Read anything good? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

Top Books I Forgot To Read: The 2021 Edition

Hello Everyone,

I’m always forgetting about new releases, super hyped books, and just not completing my TBR’s that I’ve made. This past year I’ve dnf’d more books, I have changed my mind on several, I’ve put aside a book never to pick it up again because I forgot about it… the list of reasons is endless. And my stress has made it harder to focus on reading this year thanks to a multitude of reasons I’m sure we can all relate. But I decided a fun thing to do for the last month of the year was combine the top “forgotten” books and try to get to them before the years end. It’s unlikely that I will but regardless…lists are fun and an excellent means of procrastination in actually reading.

Okay, to be fair I waited on reading Jade City until the trilogy was complete but the rest I just completely forgot about. Red Knight by Miles Cameron is also a thick book as is most of these that I chose. I think that the one I’m most intrigued by is Last Song Before Night. Such a lovely cover but I can say the same thing about most all these books. And a few of these do seem winter themed so perfect timing. Which one should I make a priority I wonder? 🤔

I hope to get to these before the end of the year but my tbr is already quite large so I’m not holding my breath. I wish everyone else happy reading and good luck with their own tbr goals.

Until next time,

2021 December TBR: The Hardest TBR to Make of the Year

Hello Everyone,

I have all these (above) as my hopeful tbr for December but there’s loads of others to that I hope to get to. Every month I have a tbr I don’t stick too but I hope to get to anyway. This month is more ambitious than usual as it’s the last month of the year so I have those 35 books plus these additional ones if possible:

Not to mention these library books that I have checked out:

I’m very hopeful that this month won’t be slumpy like the last year has been. I’m hoping that next year reading will be easier as will reviewing. I wish everyone well with their last month tbr of the year!

Happy reading,

2021 November Wrap Up: I read 19 books last month

Hello Everyone,

Last month I hit a slump hard but it was also Thanksgiving so I’m excusing myself as I was quite busy! Lots of family get-togethers and a lot of food and company. It was fun! Here are the books that I managed to read for November:

Out of all these, I think my favorite was Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh and The Witness For the Dead by Katherine Addison. My least favorites were Ink and Sigil by Kevin Hearne and The Inside Ring by Mike Lawson.

Up next on the blog is my favorite post to make and that’s my monthly tbr!

Until next time,

WWW Wednesday: I only read 3 books last week? 😬

Hello Everyone,

It’s time for another WWW Wednesday! I’m shocked by how little I read last week but then it’s almost Thanksgiving so maybe not so surprising. Stress and family make a huge difference in how much reading I get done apparently. Who knew? 🤔

What am I currently reading:

I’m really trying to get back into the reading groove! Hopefully these lovelies will help!

What did I receive finish reading?

Apparently not much read this week! Two five star books and the inside ring I dnf’d sadly. Political thrillers aren’t much my thing, though some are awesome this just didn’t work for me.

What will I read next?:

I’m hoping for a lot of arcs/series catch up!

I sincerely hope to read more this week but thanks to it being Thanksgiving I doubt I’ll manage much at all. I will have a lot more to do with it being the holidays.

A special note from Pass Me That Book…I hope everyone reading this has a happy Thanksgiving, or any other holiday that you celebrate during this time. I hope all of you get a good meal and a safe place to sleep. Please stay safe out there, y’all. Happy reading and I won’t be back on until December.

Happy holidays!

Google Tells Me What to Read: Top Fantasy Books of 2021

Hello Everyone,

I decided to try a fun thing where Google tells me what to read for a week. I have most of these but a couple of them I may need to request from my local library or see if it’s available on kindle unlimited. I hope to finish all these in a week! Wish me luck!

Books I Forgot I Had: Stashed On My Kindle, Library App

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would do something new and list a few books that I forgot that I had in my kindle, let alone in my library overdrive app. There’s a hefty list of books on my tbr, but this list will be small. Maybe about ten, fifteen books that I will share that I forgot I had. Shall we?

I keep forgetting about this book, though to be fair I tried reading it twice and both times put it aside. I may try again soon but right now I’m just not in a sci-fi mood.

Again, not in a sci-fi mood but I really love Lavie Tidhar’s writing. I hope to be reading this and her other books next year!

This book has such a beautiful cover and is much loved by the community I know, but I’m just not ready for a box of tissues yet.

I know, I know, I know. Y’all are probably screaming at me that I still haven’t read this. I own a copy I just haven’t picked it up yet as I’ve been burned by YA a fair bit lately and am not in the mood for it.

I have put this on my tbr so many times this year but just haven’t picked it up and I keep forgetting to read it. 😒

I’ve had this for ages in my kindle but I just keep forgetting that I have it! One day I swear I’ll read this!

I’m also not in the mood for historical fiction as this book is quite long too. I own a physical copy now though so maybe soon I can read it.

I have a confession to make. I’ve never read the Night Circus. *Ducks for cover and hides*

I’ve heard so much praise for this author and still I haven’t read her books. 😔

~•~•~•~•~

I’ve decided to leave it here because I could just go on and on in how many books I haven’t read or forgotten about. Should I make any of these a priority? Let me know in the comments!

Discussion (Part Two): Series/Authors Backlist Titles To Focus On for 2022 (A Hefty List Continued!)

Hello Everyone,

As I’m writing this, the year is wrapping rapidly to a close and I’m still reading quite a bit. I plan to get a lot more serious in reading and reviewing next year as this past year I had a bit of a hiatus. Now it’s time to focus on my blog once again, and that means making priorities of book series to complete/finish for the next year. Here’s more authors and series I’m determined to get to!

Obviously I have quite a bit of books. 55 exactly on this list. I don’t have all of them listed that are on my wishlist that would take up far, far too much space. I’m not going to type up the list but if you want titles feel free to ask and I shall send you the titles in the comments. What’s on your tbr for next year? Anything good?

Until next time,

TBR BOOKS: 100+ Books I STILL Haven’t Read

Hello Everyone,

I’m sure we’re all guilty of having books on our shelves languishing on our shelves, sitting and waiting with accusing eyes. I’ve easily got several dozen that I am guilty of not reading yet. Here’s a bit of a list of all that I’m hoping to get to soon! So settle in, bring up Goodreads, and be prepared to add books to your TBR!

TBR BOOKS:

Many of these I’m embarrassed that I still haven’t read them! I’m always looking at other books or arcs that are priorities and many of these I just don’t have and need my library to access them. Which ones should I focus on? Also? Final count for all of this is 125 books. Ouch. There’s more but these are top of my tbr pile for now. I’m hoping to get to them soon.

Until next time,

WWW Wednesday: Books and a short story

Hello Everyone,

I haven’t read a whole lot since last Wednesday/Saturday post, but I still managed to squeeze in a few things!

What Have I Read?:

Okay, so I read two books, a novella and a Tor short fiction piece. More than I thought but still not a lot. One book isn’t featured because I don’t have the cover to add and that’s Snapped by CM Sutter. All of these were four/five ⭐ so that’s awesome. Hopefully the coming week is good too.

What am I Currently Reading?:

The Jasmine Throne is a buddy read, and the others I’m working on for #BeatingtheBacklist. I’m hopeful to finish these, and so far enjoying Jasmine Throne and Vast Black a lot!

What am I Reading Next?:

My fantasy mood has returned with a vengeance and my slump seems to be finally gone!!! These are what I’m hopeful for but I do read by mood and I am waiting for library copies of some of these too. Hoping to read lots next week and write more reviews too! How is your reading going? Let me know in the comments!
