Hello, and welcome to another tag! This one is a new one that I have started, where I list five books that Goodreads personally recommends me that I’m like “YES PLEASE!” and add to my immediate want to read list that’s already thousands of books long. But enough about those woes of never having time to read all those novels. Let’s get on to the books!
#1:
Stacey Lee is an author I’ve heard of as she has written “Under a Painted Sky” which I still don’t have on my shelves, let alone have read. This cover is breathtaking, and I love stories about earthquakes and china and girls attending school…it sounds like it will be an excellent book to read, and I only found out about it through goodreads, so, yay!
#2:
A new Amy Ewing book! AWESOME! I had no idea that she was writing a new one, and it looks to be part one of a duology. So I have that to look forward to. For those who wonder where they recognize the name, she’s the author of the Jewel trilogy. I highly recommend reading her really wonderful ya fantasy novels.
#3:
Naomi Novik is one of my favorite fantasy authors of all time, especially after having read “Uprooted”, of which I still desperately want to buy and own because of how beautiful that book was. There are a rare few books that I want to buy the most expensive version of it, but Uprooted takes top place in that regard. I can’t wait for the sequel!
#4:
An LGBT retelling of Sherlock Holmes set in the future? Definitely on my radar list now!
#5:
This sounds absolutely fascinating, and it’s been popping up on many of my favorite fantasy blogs that I follow, so of course now I have to read this!
And that’s it! That’s my current top five picks from Goodreads Recommendations. Incidentally, is anyone else having issues with posting photos to their uploaded posts? Because lately it seems, I’m having serious technical difficulties in doing so.
What are your top five picks? Any other books you want me to read and review? Just let me know in the comments!
